Sunscreen: The best way to keep skin youthful.
We know now it's no longer a choice of whether you would prefer sunscreen. The need for sun safety has become clearer over the past 30 years. Studies show that exposure to the sun can cause skin cancer. Harmful rays from the sun—and from sunlamps and tanning beds—may also cause eye problems, weaken your immune system, and give you skin spots, wrinkles, or "leathery" skin. Everyone should be wearing sunscreen if they are in direct sunlight for any extended period of time.
To properly apply sunscreen:
Fill the hollow of your palm (1/2 teaspoon) with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) in order to coat your face, neck and ears. Repeat this process for arms, legs, hands, feet, and any other body parts exposed to sunlight.
