A Guide to ACL Injuries
(http://ow.ly/Bry430p0ogL)
Your ACL or your anterior cruciate ligament is one of the major ligaments located in your knee. Your ACL connects your thigh bone to your shinbone. A tear in your ACL most commonly occurs when playing sports that involve sudden stops, changes in direction, jumping, and landing. Patients who have suffered an ACL injury often describe hearing and/or feeling a "pop" sensation in the knee.
Symptoms of an ACL injury are severe pain, inability to continue activity, rapid swelling, loss of range of motion, and a feeling of instability. If you think you've torn your ACL, you should see an orthopedic surgeon immediately for treatment.

What Is Knee Arthroscopy?
Arthroscopic knee surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to preserve tissue around the knee, thus helping speed up the healing process more than you'd find with open surgery. Assuming everything goes well during surgery, patients can expect to return to high levels of activity within weeks.

Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure during which the internal structure of a joint is examined for diagnosis and treatment using pencil-thin instruments with a small camera and lens. Arthroscopic surgery is typically used to treat common orthopedic injuries and problems like arthritis, ACL tears, meniscal tears, rotator cuff tears, joint dislocations, and more.

What is Shoulder Impingement Syndrome?
Shoulder impingement syndrome describes the compression of the tendons of the rotator cuff and the subacromial bursa against other nearby bones in the shoulder. When this happens, the tissues become irritated and inflamed after continually rubbing against bone.
Treatment options typically include rest, anti-inflammatory medications, steroid injections, or physical therapy. In more severe cases of shoulder impingement, surgery may be needed to create space in the shoulder joint.
