For 45 years, Steven R. Kafrissen, MD DLFAPA has offered comprehensive and compassionate psychiatric care to patients from in and around Kingston, Pennsylvania. His dedication to his practice has led him to stay up to date with the evolving best practices in treating conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dr. Kafrissen is certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in Administrative Psychiatry by the American Psychiatric Association (APA). He completed his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College (currently known as the Drexel University College of Medicine) before serving his internship at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Medical Center and his residency in psychiatry at the Drexel University - Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Kafrissen later completed post-graduate work at the Washington School of Psychiatry. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA, which represents his many years of service to his patients, the community, and his profession.
Dr. Kafrissen’s extensive experience as a psychiatrist helps him provide accurate diagnoses and start effective treatment plans combining medication and clinical therapy, customized to address the specific needs of each individual patient.
