Born and raised on the Central Coast, where fresh food is a way of life, both Steve and Holly Teixeira were raised in families where feeding friends and family was a significant part of life. The food was fresh and simple, and the fellowship around the dining table, memorable! Opening a restaurant seemed natural for a couple who enjoyed preparing and sharing meals for a host of different occasions.
Thus, Stolly's (a blend of the couples first names) on the alley (reminiscent of their location on bubblegum alley) was conceived. Opened in 2014, the restaurant is a reflection of their desire to extend their gift of hospitality beyond their own dining room.
As Steve's brother's local (Pismo Beach) Angus beef operation grew, it became an inspiration for great beef recipes and now supplies all of the natural, forage fed beef used in all of Stolly's home-style recipes. A reasonable accompaniment to the succulent beef would be the addition of locally grown, seasonal produce in everything their homey menu offers.
Because of their heritage, Italian-American cuisine was a natural starting place; and from the abundance available here on the gorgeous Central Coast of California comes the basis for Stolly's menu, featuring appetizers, burgers, salads, pasta, sandwiches, pizza, steak and more, it is truly a menu that has something
for everyone. Stolly's on the alley is pleased to include local beers and wines in their beverage offerings, as well!
As avid supporters of their community, Steve and Holly are very involved with their church, local
service clubs, Cal Poly, local high schools, non-profits and other projects. But after the well being
of their family, their primary goal is to provide a fun, relaxed atmosphere where guests can come
and enjoy a great meal.
Stolly's on the alley is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:AM to 2:AM at 733 Higuera Street (next to Bubblegum Alley) in San Luis Obispo.
We welcome you to enjoy great food and great hospitality…make Stolly's a habit…it's right up your alley!
