Sudhir Gogu, DO, PhD, MBA, is a board-certified family medicine physician with extensive experience in emergency medicine. Passionate about individualized, holistic care, Dr. Gogu brings more than 23 years of professional experience to Stone Urgent Care & Family Practice in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Gogu graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1997 before completing his family practice residency at Riverside Health Systems in Wichita, Kansas.
As a physician dedicated to holistic medicine, Dr. Gogu works with his patients to provide the right treatment and care plan for them. He never rushes patients out the door and makes sure they never leave his office with lingering questions.
While Dr. Gogu’s specialty is family medicine — including annual physical exams, diagnostic laboratory testing, hypertension management, Pap smears, cold and flu care, vaccinations, and preventive medicine — he is also highly experienced in urgent care medicine, allergy testing, and more.
In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Gogu holds a PhD from the University of North Texas in Denton and an MBA from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio - UT Health San Antonio. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, University of Incarnate Word Osteopathic Medical School in San Antonio, and at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio - UT Health San Antonio.
Dr. Gogu’s friendly demeanor and ability to connect with patients of all ages makes him an excellent physician. Not only has he published several articles and received many grants, Dr. Gogu has also received an award for outstanding service in rural Texas.
