Yesterday for #VeteransDay, Stoney River honored our resident veterans with hallway programming of music and prayer followed by personally delivered cake and ice cream. 🇺🇸
In the afternoon, residents continued to honor veterans with O'Keefe style poppies. Resident Ruth painted her poppy to honor her husband, John, a Navy veteran! In addition to John, resident Bill M. is an Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

This week our Executive Director, Sarah Krenn. Sarah helps families make the transition to Stoney River as easy as possible. She holds their hands through the process and makes sure residents have everything they need in their new homes. Sarah’s compassion extends to her work with the Girl Scouts and United Way and has volunteered with 4-H, America’s largest youth development organization. She enjoys camping, cooking, photography and mostly family time with her husband and four daughters.

This week our Maintenance Manager, Rodelio "Boyet" Hernandez. A Philippine native, Boyet received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Far Eastern University and has over 20 years of electrical engineering experience. Living in the US since 2004, Boyet enjoys cooking traditional Filipino foods, with Adobo as his specialty, for his wife, four kids, and granddaughter. Boyet also likes listening to classical music, using his craft for building and repairs and traveling throughout the US and the Philippines.

I love getting to know families and helping to make the transition easier for them,” says Nikki, whose favorite part of the job is meeting people and building relationships. This week meet our A Knew Day Memory Support Manager, Elizabeth Richards, LPN. After graduating nursing school as the class salutatorian, Elizabeth worked in a variety of settings, including long-term care and assisted living, and found she prefers memory support. “Forging relationships with residents and families is the most rewarding part of my day!” Elizabeth loves to be outdoors with her husband and son as well as crafting and reading.

This Marshfield native has a nursing degree and nearly 20 years of experience in health care, palliative/hospice care and assisted living.
