Today is National Boy Scout Day, which honors the hard work the boy scouts have done for the community. The Boy Scouts have existed since February 8th 1910, making this the organization’s 111th birthday. Boy Scouts do volunteer work for the community as well as build leadership skills that they can use as they grow into adulthood. If you know a scout, let them know you appreciate all of their hard work and dedication!
We’d like to introduce you to Katey Mikolay, Homestead II’s Director of Nursing. She has been working for our building for over 4 years and she has been in long-term care for over ten years. “I enjoy the amazing team and family. I like the environment at Homestead II,” Katey said. Katey loves taking pictures in her free time. She likes dogs, animals, music, and art. She doesn’t like olives. Her favorite quote is "The Oz behind the curtain.” One fun fact about Katey is she is the middle child of 5. Thanks for all you do for our residents, Katey! (Mask removed for photo)
