Johnstown resident Dustin Gerkin is a finalist for HGTV's Designer of the Year competition. Dustin entered a few months ago and his project made it to the final round, which is open to online voting from August 25th - September 29th.
His project is in the "Countryside Escapes" category, and they titled my project "Modern Farmhouse With a Crisp Silhouette and Idyllic Setting."

We would like to formally announce that Chris Cooperrider was selected to be the next patrol sergeant. Sergeant Cooperrider has faithfully served the Community of Johnstown for over 20-years! During his tenure he has served as a school resource officer, crisis intervention specialist, and a Kids Team operative. Chief Haroon said, “Both candidates were a good choice for the Community, and my choice was not easy. However, Chris did have an edge. I’m proud of both candidates for competing. The four-part assessment was hard on both of the candidates. I continue to be impressed with the amount of talent this agency has to offer.” Sergeant Cooperrider will likely become official on the 2nd of June 2020, during the Village’s council. Of course, we’ll keep you updated.

Dining In Update!!!
Elvis is masked up and ready for customers to be dining in. However, we have a lot of work to do before we are able to meet the requirements set by our local health department. When we do open our indoor seating....things will be very different. Please be patient and know that we are doing our very best to ensure the safety of our customers and employees as well as protecting our business. There have been no easy decisions...every decision made has involved lots of brainstorming, stress, sleepless nights, second guessing, and prayer.
As of right now, our goal is to open indoor seating on June 4th. This may change depending on how the restrictions change as businesses begin opening.
We will be closed Saturday 5/23 and Monday 5/25 as we start working on reconfiguring our indoor seating. Again, we appreciate your patience and continued support as we work towards reopening.
In the meantime you can still call/text/walk-in orders and we have sidewalk seating available!!! Please continue to share our posts....it helps more than you know!!

On October 30th from 7am to 6pm, S. Main Street will be closed to traffic beginning at College Street and heading north to US 62 (Coshocton Street). All side roads (Oregon, Kasson, etc) will remain open to vehicular traffic. A movie production company will be filming scenes in the downtown area.
