Dr. Chang joined the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center in 2007. He is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine with the Weill Cornell Medical College; the Associate Director of the Cardiac Computed Tomography Laboratory of the Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center; and Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging Laboratory of the Methodist West Houston Hospital. Prior to this, he was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of Nuclear Cardiology at the William S. Middleton Memorial VAMC from 2003 to 2007.Dr. Chang received his medical degree with honors from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is board certified in Adult Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography.Dr. Chang™s clinical and research interests focus on the evaluation of a wide range of cardiac disease in high-risk populations using multimodality imaging. He has authored/co-authored over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and near 100 abstracts that have been presented at the national and international meetings of major cardiology societies.He has received several awards from the highly esteemed American College of Cardiology Foundation, American Society of Echocardiography, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, The William S. Middleton Memorial VAMC Department of Veteran Affairs and the Moran Foundation.
