Today is also a National Day of Service! Our independent living residents are amazing examples of service. Service to their friends, service to their families, and service to those in need! They are busy stuffing teddy bears that will be donated to the humanitarian center and distributed to hospitals for children in need. Way to go residents!!

Summerfield is a privately owned local business. We are looking for CNA's to help create and enhance an amazing team! CNA's are the backbone of healthcare and we are looking for hero's to help provide outstanding care to our residents.
Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL's) ADL's include, but are not limited to, grooming, care and selection of clothing, cleanliness of clothing, shaving, bathing, oral hygiene, shampooing and curling hair, eating ans sleeping, planning daily activities, and spending quality time with individual residents.
- Assist residents that may be incontinent of bowel and/or bladder, including making sure residents are clean and dressed in clean clothing.
- Assist residents to other daily meals, activities, and in preparing for family outings or appointments.
- Assist with maintenance of residents records to include charting medication, recording daily intake, etc.
- Record vital signs, weights and measurements, and other information as assigned
- Facilitate staff, resident, and family communication to resolve conflict and create a positive home environment
- Ambulate and transfer resident care planning by identifying the needs of residents in accordance with the medical assessment, working with other professionals as necessary.
- Observe and report immediately and unsafe or unsanitary conditions in resident apartments
- Performs other duties as assigned
CNA Position requires the following:
- CNA License or the ability to obtain within 4 months of hire
- CPR and First Aid
- Food Handlers Permit

Responsibilities for Dishwasher:
- Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine
- Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine
- Unload dishes and utensils from dishes machine and organize them properly
- Empty trash containers regularly
- Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed
- Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
- Clean food prep stations and equipment
- Assist in meal service
- Buss tables
- Clean dining and service areas
- Restock supplies
Qualifications for Dishwasher:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Restaurant or customer service experience preferred

Assisted Living residents enjoyed Pumpkin Pie for our afternoon activity, but in a new way! So fun watching them be creative and make turkeys!! I don’t know if they enjoyed making the turkeys or eating them more!! 😆
Just starting Thanksgiving Week with a pajama day and delicious belgian waffle breakfast for Independent residents. It’s going to be a great week!
Assisted Living ended the week with the Olympic Award Ceremony! So fun watching highlights from the games this week, enjoying treats, and listening to Fox News “Tucker: This is why America is so Great” !! Residents loved it! If you haven’t seen this video go check it out on YouTube!!

Today we had our Superbowl party and Cardiovascular awareness activity. Thanks to all who wore red for heart health today!
We had a wonderful time yesterday listening to Tori give a live piano performance. There was such a great turn out and a lot of happy people! We also did some acrylic painting before the show.
