Celebrating Halloween may be a little different this year due to Covid-19 but that doesn’t mean it will be any less fun. Here are some tips on how to celebrate safely, but still have a ghastly good time:
• Social distance pumpkin carving – carve your scary squash with friends or family outside at a safe distance
• Host a virtual Halloween costume contest via Zoom or Google Hangouts – enter the chatroom if you dare
• Decorate your house, apartment, or living space – especially the living room (see what we did there?)👻
Happy Haunting! 💀🎃🍬

Due to COVID-19, wearing a mask has become the new normal. This is a reminder that face masks are mandatory in all public places and at all programs here at Summit Hill Senior Living. For a mask to be effective, it must be worn properly. It should comfortably fit over the nose and mouth without slipping. Masks not only ensure your safety but the safety of those around you. Here are other helpful reminders when wearing a face mask:
• Wash your hands before putting on your mask.
• Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin.
• Don’t put it around your neck, on your chin, or on your forehead.
• Don’t touch the mask; if you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
• Be sure to follow all social distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart.
Taking the necessary safety precautions can help mitigate the virus and keep you safe!
