"We now have superior options to help people get back to doing what they love. That’s why I love what I do." Dr. Robert Johnson, specializing in several areas of spinal surgery, is now accepting patients and is ready to get you back to what makes you love your life. To schedule an appointment with him, please contact us at (208) 227-1100.
The American Chronic Pain Association recognizes September as national pain awareness month in an effort to bring awareness to those living in chronic pain and pain management. All of our highly trained physicians are dedicated to reducing patient pain, but Dr. Robert Johnson has a special connection to why he chose to specialize in spinal surgery. Dr. Johnson witnessed his mother suffer from a lifelong spinal injury she sustained in a car accident, which limited her access to the things she loved. "However, with the advancements in medicine, we now have superior options to help people get back to doing what they love. That’s why I love what I do. I have the privilege to help people in similar situations.” -Dr. Johnson
We couldn't agree more, McKenzie. Now more than ever we are aware of how important health and wellness truly are. Don't risk it, start with Summit Orthopaedics.

It's not just about getting the job done: it's about getting the job done right. Thank you Kylie for your glowing review!
Did you know one of the first prototypes for the modern orthopedic cast was held together by...egg whites? Dominique Jean Larrey, an 18th century French surgeon, would use a combination of alcohol, lead acetate, and egg whites mixed with water to stiffen the bandages of injured patients. He realized that preventing disruption of the wound promoted quicker healing. (Luckily, we’ve come a long way!)
Inspiring trust in our patients is key to our treatment philosophy. Schedule an appointment today to see how we make a difference.
When Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed," it was with good reason! Children and adolescents are susceptible to what's often referred to as "jumper's knee." Repeated kicking, jumping, or running from sports or regular play can cause tenderness near the bottom of the kneecap. Our shoulders are incredible. They allow use to reach in all different positions and angles, but the machinery that makes this possible is subject to a lot of wear-and-tear. The rotator cuff, or group of muscles and tendons in the shoulder, tends to take on a lot of this overuse damage. Luckily, our surgeons are experts on how to repair rotator cuff injuries and do so all the time!
From our family at Summit Orthopaedics to yours, we hope you have a restful holiday doing what you love. Happy Thanksgiving!
