Dr. Mandyam's novel approach to spinal cord stimulation resulted in 100% relief of this patient's chronic rectal pain.
Normally, neurostimulator leads are inserted in the upper lumbar region and directed toward the head to capture back and leg pain. For rectal pain, Dr. Mandyam inserted the leads from lumbar spine towards the tailbone to stimulate sensory nerve fibers coming from the rectum.

Physician Spotlight: Adam Gover, MD
Dr. Gover’s passion is to help people with chronic pain regain their life and resume the activities that bring them happiness. As someone who is very invested in physical fitness, he understands the impact that chronic pain has on our activity level and quality of life. Dr. Gover specializes in using minimally invasive techniques such as radiofrequency ablation, epidural steroid injections, and neuromodulation to improve his patient’s pain while also minimizing the use of opioids. Another goal of his is to help patients with chronic pain avoid invasive surgery when unnecessary. Dr. Gover is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care and helping his patients to resume the activities that make them feel whole again.
Dr. Gover is a member of the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), Spine Intervention Society (SIS), and the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS).
In his spare time he enjoys hiking, working out, traveling, and rock climbing.

As a medical assistant, one must be able to effectively triage patients in a timely manner and perform clinical duties under the supervision of a licensed provider. We are seeking motivated individuals who show great communication skills and must be able to and multitask as we are a fast-paced practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Triage patients to be seen by providers which include, but are not limited to: rooming patients, taking vitals, merging patient charts and communicating directly with patients
Assist providers in exam rooms
Effectively process messages between patients and administration or other medical offices
Report to office manager and/or practice administrator
REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to travel to other locations
Detail-oriented
Willingness to cross-train on all other clinical responsibilities
Experience using eClinicalWorks or other EHR system preferred
1 year clinical experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
