ALERT! Our building lost power at approximately 4:45pm. Our phones, lighting and computer systems were down for about 30 minutes. Our battery powered generator has kicked on, but we are functioning at a minimum capacity until the power is restored to our building. Our Emergency Department is not seeing new cases until further notice. Please contact other emergency veterinary hospitals in the area if your pet is experiencing an emergency. We are diverting our all our resources to appropriately care for the patients currently hospitalized with us. Thank you for your patience and understanding and stay safe out there!
Summit's expansive construction project is finally complete! We would like to thank our hardworking and devoted staff for their flexibility and patience during the construction for expansion/remodel. We have weathered many challenges through this process and we couldn't have done it without you. As a small token of our gratitude we are scheduling daily food offerings this week. Please give a huge shout out to Boss Mama's Kitchen food truck. They are working tirelessly in the heat to serve us incredibly delicious food! Thank you to all!
Happy Belated Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week! Our assistants at Summit are beyond amazing! We all deeply appreciate your dedication and hard work! Veterinary Assistant week is usually in June, but we had to delay our weeklong celebration because of construction for our remodel. Thank you all who put on the daily food and beverage spreads and decorations and gifts for our irreplaceable and wonderful assistants!
This day is dedicated to spreading awareness about mental health issues, advocating for those who may be navigating their own journey with mental illness, and reducing stigma around mental health disorders and their symptoms worldwide. Mental health concerns are one of the main causes of worldwide overall disease burden, with mental health and behavioral problems being the main causes of disability in 20 to 29 year-olds (Mental Health Foundation). Summit is upgrading and replacing our phone and communication systems on Tuesday, December 15th @ 6am. While we expect minimal impacts and very limited downtime, your patience is appreciated as we take a leap forward in our tools to better serve you.
