Community solar in MN has been held back by a contiguous county rule, which prohibits a subscriber's ability to join a particular garden based on their location & proximity to the garden. This rule limits easy accessibility (a core value of community solar) and is a huge obstacle for the future of community solar development in MN.

It's real, and it's called the SunSaluter – and it's used in eighteen developing countries to help improve energy and water access.
Eden Full invented an amazing device called the SunSaluter when she was just a teenager; it uses the power of gravity to maximize solar energy output, while also filtering water safe for drinking! A "waterclock" hangs from the frame of the solar panel and empties throughout the day, getting lighter as the day goes on, and therefore rotating the panel to keep it oriented toward the sun to get maximum sunlight during the day. This system boosts energy output by 30%! Plus, the water that empties from the clock goes through a water purification device, resulting in four liters of clean drinking water each day.
