Parents of Children with Special Needs: your educational concerns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic should be addressed by your school district. Keep a lookout for the following issues:
How far has your child regressed during the shutdown?
Were your child’s goals and objectives achieved through the end of the school year?
What did the progress reports indicate?
How have your child’s needs changed since last year?
Are you entitled to compensatory education for services not provided during the shutdown such as PT, OT, speech, etc?
How much compensatory education is the district going to provide your child to accommodate for all that was lost during the shutdown?
How should your child’s IEP be changed, revised, or re-written? Know your rights. We can help.
