#OTD Sept 23, 1911 At an international air meet, Earle Ovington in a Bleriot monoplane, made the first US airmail flight, flying from Nassau Boulevard Aerodome to Mineola. The F-14 took its first flight in 1970 and we're celebrating 50 years of this iconic Navy fighter. To celebrate we have pulled out never before seen artifacts. See a full size aircraft, the 3rd, F-14 ever built, and oldest surviving, view two cockpits, see flight suits and more, at the home of the F-14. Open Thurs-Sun 10am-4pm.
