While in SWAN Rehab’s independent living program, Mr. Brown was working with physical therapy on trying to propel his wheelchair to become more independent they came up with the catch phase of “push then glide.” All of his therapist used this phrase as a cue for him to remember to push himself around the clinic. Shortly after, speech therapy was trying to find a functional way to keep him motivated and to improve his communication skills. They decided to tap into his passion for music and came up with a rap for his therapy and brought him back into the limelight of preforming. When he had it completed he shared it with all of Swan Rehab’s employees as a reminder to keep going and to thank his therapist at SWAN.
We sure miss seeing all of our PD friends at our monthly Parkinson's support group. Joey from Medtronics has planned a Parkinson's virtual happy hour so we can all re-connect, learn some new skills and socialize with others that may be experiencing similar situations. Dr. Samanta will be present to share his expertise and answer questions
Please join us for our monthly Tea & Tremors support group.

Out clinicians work hard to make therapy fun and less like work. The weather is finally cool enough for our patients to enjoy therapy outdoors. #swanrehab #neurophysicaltherapy
Staff at SWAN cares about safety and also knows how important therapy is in the lives of many people dealing with neurological impairments. Our mission is to get 80% of our staff vaccinated and we are well on our way!
