Dr. Kuo hails from California where he received the prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarship and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s in Molecular & Cell Biology. He graduated Cum Laude and was the Valedictorian of his medical class at the University of the East. Dr. Kuo then pursued Internal Medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weston, Florida where he won the annual research competition. He furthered his training in cardiovascular disease at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Kuo then successfully completed advanced training in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular interventions, and structural heart disease at the Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute with the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Kuo has also received specialized training in Cardiac CT from the John Hopkins University and completed optional training in cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
