The socials at the studio are bringing in more and more people every time. Everyone is in masks and practicing social distancing. Riccardo and Sabrina put together some cool line dances to be sure everyone got on the floor.

New Classes! New Contest! Saturday Social!
Starting this Sunday, October 4, we are hosting a new yoga class at 9am. For information, go to http://www.1-yoga.com/workshops-and-classes/
One of the lessons we're all learning during the pandemic is the importance of being open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. This is another class we'll use the studio in a positive manner.

Great time to learn from and socialize with world class instructors, Riccardo Papi and Sabrina Moretti this Saturday.
They will be hosting our bi-weekly social from 7 to 9pm. For those that want to make a real night of it, we have moved the Rumba workshop normally done at 10am to 6pm this week. It will be both teaching at the same time. No partner needed for either event.

Halloween Night Social
Next up at bat is the Halloween night social from 7 to 9. You can wear a costume or not. Either way, we'll all be masked to enjoy a great evening of fun and friendship.
You'd have to be out of your gourd to miss the Halloween social at Take the Lead this Saturday at 7pm.

Found this picture from the early 80's when I was relatively new in the dance business.. For those that don't recognize me, I'm the one with the green bow tie.
Come join us as we kick 2020 to the curb and bring in 2021 on New Year's Eve with our dance family and friends .at Take the Lead.
We'll be giving away gift bags, serving light snacks and having our traditional champagne toast at midnight. Dancing and socialinzing with our friends is the way to bring in the new year with a positive outlook.
We are following CDC guidelines in all we do which will inlcude limiting the number of people in the studio. We encourage everyone to get reservations in as soon as possible before tickets are sold out. Cost will be $50 for the event.
If you don't want to join us but would still like to pick up a gift bag, stop by the studio to pick one up. Every contribution to the studio helps us stay open into 2021.

Kick 2020 to the Curb New Year celebration
We just had https://oasis-clean.com/ come out to professionally sanitize and disinfect the studio. This is an additional step for protecting our students and staff to ensure everyone stays safe during their private lessons, group classes, and dance socials.
If you know of any businesses in the area, I'd encourage them to learn about what Oasis Clean is doing.

Getting our studio cleaned and disinfected against covid-19. What he's spraying bonds to surfaces and makes them antimicrobial for months.
Thanks to Oasis Clean for coming out. We want to be sure all our students and staff feel safe when coming in to dance.
What an honor it was to have Katusha Demidova at our studio on Monday. She is in demand all over the world and for her to choose to come to Take the Lead is a testament to the quality and integrity of our instructors.

We all have new years resolutions to make each year better than the year before.
Dancing is a great way to get in shape, challenge yourself, learn something new and laugh at the same time.
Who couldn't use a little stress reliever after the year we've all just had?
We had a great time last night at our 'Bermuda' New Year dance.
We brought in 2021 three hours earlier than everyone else on the east coast. We went from Bermuda shorts to formal attire ... Peter even had on formal socks to complete the look.
While being masked up and socially distant, everyone enjoyed the champagne toast at 'midnight.' In fact, they all lifted their left legs off the floor five seconds before the countdown hit zero so they could bring in 2021 on the right foot.

St Patrick's Saturday Social
What a great night on Saturday. Over 40 people were able to dance, socialize and get together while staying safe. It was nice to have dancers that work with Bill Mitchell and Brian Wells join us as the dance community comes together to support each other.
