Edward Rose & Sons September 14 at 12:55 PM · It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheldon Rose, former President and CEO of Edward Rose and Sons and father of Warren Rose. For over 50 years Sheldon Rose successfully cultivated his father’s single-family construction company into the nation-spanning, multifamily enterprise we know today. He was a pioneer and a visionary in the development of the multifamily industry as we know it today. Those who knew Sheldon remember his sharp wit, dry sense of humor and modest style. One of the greatest sources of joy and satisfaction during his long and productive life was his time at the company with his Ed Rose family. Sheldon laid the foundation of the company we work with and benefit from today. His vision, hard work and dedication guides us now as we move forward. As a philanthropist, Sheldon made major contributions to the Beaumont Health medical system, United Way and numerous other charitable organizations for the betterment of the Metro Detroit Community. He is survived by his children; Laurie Dubin (Dan), Jonathan, Warren (Carol Ann) and grandchildren; Aaron, Andrea, Robin and Frances. His larger than life presence will be missed by his family, friends and many colleagues who remember his warm smile and friendship.
