With the demand for digital signage growing more and more every year, we’ve had the opportunity to design and install a wide array of projects for partners in industries ranging from higher education to healthcare to marketing agencies and everything in between.
These projects are always fun to work on because of how unique and creative they have the potential to be, but with unique projects come unique challenges. We’ve had to get creative with designing and integrating digital signage solutions for spaces with difficult mounting surfaces such as marble, tile, suspended from the ceiling, curved walls, and much more. Luckily we’re always up for a challenge and love getting to see it all come together in the end!

Last week the new Collin College campus in Wylie, TX opened its doors to students for the first time! We had the opportunity to spend the summer installing the AV systems throughout the college’s music rooms, art studios, café, science labs, classrooms, and much more! A recently completed project we had the opportunity to work on consisted of designing and installing the AV systems throughout a number of training rooms and classrooms – including this space which incorporated a height adjustable mount for the display, allowing it to be moved up and down! This added functionality allows our partners who utilize the space to have a more tailored user experience that best fits their needs when providing trainings.
Design is something we take great pride in at Taurus, ensuring every job we complete is customized intentionally to allow for our partners to use their technology in the most effective way possible!

Last week we had the chance to celebrate Erik Flores’ 10 year anniversary of working with Taurus! Erik has been an incredible asset to the company as one of our lead technicians and it was an honor getting to celebrate him. This month we get to celebrate a big milestone here at Taurus – Bryan Raney, our Director of Integration Services, is celebrating 15 years at Taurus!
Bryan is the 4th employee to reach this milestone so far as one of the very first employees hired at Taurus. Working his way up from being a technician back in 2006 to where he is now, Bryan has played a very important role in building Taurus into the company it is today and we couldn’t be more thankful for all of his hard work and dedication over the years.
Congrats on 15 years and here’s to many more!

Once a quarter we have a company-wide vote for our ‘Tech of the Quarter’ to recognize one of our technicians who has gone above and beyond to ensure our partners are taken care of and that every job is completed to the Taurus standard. We have an outstanding team of technicians here at Taurus that we take great pride in and love having an opportunity to recognize the hard work they consistently put into serving our partners.

Last Friday we hosted our first ever virtual Taurus Christmas party! One of our favorite traditions here at Taurus is our annual Christmas party where we get to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together as a company over the past year, plus our owners do a pretty great job at spoiling us with a gift raffle! This year’s Christmas party may have looked a little different, but we knew not having one at all wasn’t an option.
While not being able to all gather together wasn’t ideal, we’re thankful for the technology available to us that made a virtual Christmas party an option and allowed us to still have a chance celebrate together while staying safe. This year’s party included a livestream hosted by our owners, Aaron and Kevin, where they of course still did our epic prize wall raffle and gave us a chance to enjoy an evening together, even if it was virtually.
2020 has been quite the year but we can’t thank every single member of the Taurus family enough for their resilience and hard work throughout the year. We’re looking forward to ending 2020 with a bang and can’t wait to kick off 2021!
Last week we had the honor of starting the month of December by dropping off our annual Angel Tree donations to The Salvation Army USA! This is one of our favorite traditions here at Taurus that was especially meaningful this year.
Ending 2020 with the ability to give back to others in our community is an immense privilege that we don’t take lightly and are extremely thankful to be in the position to do so. In a year that has been especially difficult for so many people all over the world, we can’t thank the Salvation Army enough for all that they do during the holidays to help out the community.
Spreading a little bit of holiday cheer and lending a helping hand to those in need is a noble cause that we are honored to get to play a small part. We have so much admiration for all of the hard work that The Salvation Army puts into making the holidays special for everyone. We couldn’t ask for a better way to kick off the final month of 2020!
We have the honor of celebrating another big milestone here at Taurus today - Chris Evans, one of our National Account Managers, is celebrating his 10 year anniversary here at Taurus!
Chris spent his first year at Taurus back in 2010 out in the field as a technician and quickly moved up to join the sales team where he’s played a key role ever since. It’s been an honor watching him succeed in every role he’s taken on these last 10 years and witnessing the direct impact he’s had on helping Taurus grow into the company it is today.
Chris - Thank you for being such an important part of the Taurus team these past 10 years, here’s to many many more!

“When talking to potential clients, the question that I have heard most often is “What makes Taurus Technologies better than your competitors”. The truth is that for the most part we all sell the same parts and pieces and product lines so I always found it to be a very good question for a client to help differentiate between potential AV partners. For me it is very simple and my answer is and always has been our people. My colleagues are an eclectic mix of intelligent, passionate, talented people whose only goal each day is to deliver on the promises that we make to our clients. Most projects, even with meticulous planning, have unforeseen challenges that must be overcome and we take pride in overcoming those obstacles to provide excellence from the design phase, to installation, and all the way through servicing projects when issues arise. It’s their dedication to customer service and client satisfaction that makes us different and they will bend over backwards to be sure our clients are happy.
Just recently, one of those coworkers (Mr. Robert Parsons) celebrated his 15th year working with us and it got my partner and I thinking about what we could do to show our appreciation for the people who have invested so much time into making Taurus successful and we decided to build a Wall of Fame and today Mr. Parsons will be the first person to place his name under the 15 year plate. Robert has been such a huge part of building Taurus and the culture that we espouse so I wanted to specifically honor him today and share his accomplishment with the world. His attitude around the office (if we ever get to go back to the office, LOL) is infectious so much so that he regularly wins the Mr. Sunshine award at our yearly celebration. So…I raise my glass to Mr. Sunshine and can’t wait until we need to add a 20 year plate to our Wall of Fame!! I love you my friend and appreciate everything you have done to help us build Taurus into what I consider the preeminent AV company in the industry.”
