TEAMSTERS LOCAL 25 OFFERS HAZMAT AND TWIC PREP CLASS
Teamsters Local 25 employers have immediate for CDL A and B drivers with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and TWIC card credentials. These careers pay $27-32 per hour and include Teamsters Health and Welfare and Pension.
The local is offering help to members to obtain these endorsements.

At DHL, business has been very busy. The company has provided a $350 Covid bonus to workers. The company has doubled its workforce in Philadelphia with nearly 150 workers being hired in Philadelphia during the past three months. Other locations are also seeing significant hiring...At AEI, the business climate is not nearly as good. The company is still facing difficulty. The contract covering about 800 workers was set to expire December 31, 2020. The Teamsters and the company are proposing a one-year extension due to the pandemic.

A few of our partipants today stepping in front of the camera for the RIDLT in support of the Back to Work RI initiative. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for the video we will sharing!
The director, training staff and trainees want to thank everyone at the RIDLT especially everyone on the Real Jobs RI team for their hard work and commitment to the residents of RI who have been displaced during this ongoing pandemic by giving them the tools to get back on their feet in an essential industry that is need of drivers.
While we have been somewhat quiet the last few weeks, it doesn't mean that we haven't successfully trained drivers who are actively working now. We will be sharing those photos and recognizing those drivers in the coming days.

🙏 Teamsters are grieving the loss of Frankeye Duckett, a member of Teamsters Local 355 who was shot and killed in Baltimore last Friday. Duckett was on the job at the time of his death, working as a driver for the Maryland Transit Administration’s MobilityLink Program, a transit service for people with disabilities.
“It was with a heavy heart that we learned of this senseless, horrible act of violence that took away from the world not just a Teamster brother, but a grandfather, a father, a sibling, a friend; a man who meant so much to so many,” said James P. Hoffa, Teamsters General President. “We pray that those responsible for this are held accountable as swiftly and justly as possible.”
“A life taken before its time is always a tragedy of immeasurable degree, but it is even more painful knowing that this was a kindhearted man who went to work every day to provide an essential service to Baltimore’s most vulnerable residents, a man who served his community selflessly,” said Rick Middleton, Director of the IBT Passenger Transportation Division. “We want his family to know that the Teamsters are here for them during their time of need.”
Maryland law enforcement officials have apprehended one suspect in this crime but are still searching for another.
