My grandfathers nickname was Tex, he passed not to long ago. He was the kind I man aspire to be everyday! I made these boots for my mother in remembrance of him and you should have seen the smile on her face! These are chocolate American Alligator from top to bottom. I used turquoise gator for the TEX inlay and her initials on the pulls.

Once we dialed it on paper the tooling started with the vamps and then tops. From there we worked on colors for the arrangement which the client loved, the rest is history!
I have been struggling to come up with the right words to describe this mountain of a man. I really can’t say enough about him!! We not only lost one of the great boot makers of this time but also an incredible husband. A great father and friend, he taught me so much and I miss him and the conversations we would have around the shop. We lost Bartolome Torres in December last month. We ended up shutting everything down in December to give the family and I time to grieve this huge loss. Ramon as I called him was a huge part of this company and our success! We will take it from here Ramon, until we see each other again.
