How does a cop really say he didn’t know lying on reports is illegal. And the prosecutor cutting them a break because they didn’t know it’s illegal to falsify reports 🙇♂️
Two fired Orange County sheriff’s deputies convicted of lying on their police reports testified recently before a grand jury that they didn’t know it was illegal to falsify the documents, transcripts show.

Great way to end the week. After a year long process, I was able to get 2 cases dismissed today. Very happy client!
"I want you to take him up for perjury," the judge said. 'He lied. He lied on a sworn citation. … He broke the law."
We need more Judge’s like this. Sadly he was moved to the civil division after calling out a dis honest officer and a prosecutor standing up for him

Enjoy a photo of Kamala made up of persons she locked up during her career defending the harshest 3 strike law in the nation and pushing for heavy sentences for non-violent drug offenses.
Criminal trials seem to be starting. I hope the juries don’t take the necessary but inconvenient safety measures and hold them against the defendant.
My biggest fear of returning to trial is a juror with the mentality of ‘if it wasn’t for that defendant I wouldn’t be packed in this courthouse in a mask for 8 hours all day.’

California sheriff's deputies say they didn't know it was illegal to lie about evidence on police reports: report
This is why its vital that every attorney subscribes to and reads the Florida Law Weekly:
Criminal law -- Probation revocation -- Sentencing -- Resentencing -- Scoresheet errors -- Additional offenses -- Prior record -- Trial court erred in classifying certain convictions as “additional offenses” in defendant's scoresheet at resentencing because defendant had completed his sentence for those convictions when trial court sentenced him to time served at original sentencing proceeding -- Once trial court imposed time-served sentence, it no longer had jurisdiction over those convictions -- Because subject convictions were no longer pending before the court at resentencing, they should have been listed as part of defendant's prior record, not as additional offenses -- Error was not harmless because error significantly altered lowest permissible sentence and record does not show trial court would have imposed same sentence using a corrected scoresheet
