Things can change. You can change.You may have questions. Prior to attempting to answer your questions I want you to consider the following statement and reflect on some questions I will pose for you. Think about this:If you are not asking the right questions the answers don't make any difference.Here are some questions that are very important because the answers contribute directly to the state of your health. Is my problem a result of life circumstances associated with emotional pain or is it primarily physiological in origin? Do I have beliefs/opinions that I rely on or patterns of behavior that do not work well for me? Have I become disconnected from my feelings as a result of avoiding the emotional pain of past injuries? Is there a mind-body-spirit connection that may be influencing my emotional or physical health? What am I willing to do to regain my health?Your answer to the first four questions will provide some direction as to whether counseling or medication intervention will be most helpful.The last question may be the most important. Many people are willing to fight with their spouse, experience estrangement from their children, be unhappy at work, or endure chronic depression and anxiety and yet they are unwilling to engage in a battle to regain their health. Have you carefully considered what you are willing to do to become healthy.A few words about my practice. The name Grande Ronde is French meaning large, round. The name comes from the Grande Ronde Valley(large round valley)in Northeastern Oregon where I practiced for 29 years. My current office is in Sequim, WA. with hours on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. I take call for my clients 24/7 when I am in the United States. Occasionally my recreational activities in wilderness areas result in temporary interruption of cell phone service and my not being available.I am not generally providing medication services for children unless they are approaching adolescence.I am a provider for several insurance companies and accept whatever a particular company pays for outpatient behavioral health services. I ask that your co-pay be made at the time of each meeting so it is not necessary for me to send you a bill for services.
