Houston Dash player, Megan Oyster, met Loren Arzayus, 17 year-old soccer player recovering from an injury, during a virtual visit at Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands in August. Megan cheered Loren up while telling stories about her own struggles with injury and they had a great time talking about many topics including their shared passion for sports and soccer. Following the virtual visit, Loren received an autographed poster from Megan, which was given to her during her most recent visit.

Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands celebrated Fall Fun Day where staff handed out 400+ bags of fall-themed toys and activities to our patients and families. In July, 13-year-old Mac Barrow was diagnosed with a mild case of COVID-19, but recovered well. In August, after falling ill with what his parents thought was a stomach bug, he was taken to Texas Children's Hospital’s Emergency Center for further evaluation. Texas Children's patient, Cameron Dillon, began her peanut allergy oral immunotherapy treatment last year. Food Oral Immunotherapy (Food OIT) is the administration of small, gradually increasing, doses of the specific food that you are allergic to.
