In honor of Black History Month, we want to share about Juanita Craft. She was an activist in the civil rights movement and also served as a member of the Dallas City Council in Texas. She attempted to help enroll the first black student at University of North Texas and won!
Craft's home on Warren Avenue in South Dallas is now the Juanita J. Craft Civil Rights House and they are open by appointment only right now.
