#AiVABeach Fashion Marketing Management (FMM) students decorated for the holidays in a local Dillard's Department Store!
The store manager of Dillard's at Greenbrier Mall reached out to invite our Fashion Program to help with visual merchandising for the holidays. Our FMM department has a great relationship with Dillard's - for the past five years, we arrive before the store opens, unpack ornaments, and decorate the trees according to the buyer's planogram. This year we provided 16 hours.
Students learned that the holidays come early to retail, and had an excellent opportunity to practice visual merchandising and retailing techniques. Current students, instructors, and alumni came together at 7:30am to decorate seven large themed trees. Students were able to see from an operations perspective how retailers prepare for their busiest quarter. Additionally, current students had a chance to network and learn professionalism from #AiVABeach Fashion Alumni, instructors, and Dillard's managers.

Teaching in this video is #AiAtlanta instructor, Thomas Biondolillo. Thomas has taught at The Art Institute of Atlanta for the past twenty years in Media Arts and Animation, as well as across other related departments including Game Art and Design, Visual Effects and Motion Graphics.
Thomas has Bachelor of Arts focused in Art History, a Bachelor of Fines Arts focused in Painting and Drawing, and a Master of Fine Arts focused in Sequential Art.
