The Barkley Pet Hotel and Day Camp is looking for an experienced receptionist to join our team. We are an upscale boarding and day care pet hotel for dogs and cats. If you’ve got an upbeat, positive personality, professionalism, stamina and great pet-handling skills, we may have a position for you. Successful candidates will preferably have at least 1 year of reception and/or animal care experience. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including some evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. We offer employee incentives, benefits, and a fun, fast-paced work environment, and a competitive salary based on experience.
• Must have a positive, upbeat personality.
• Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes and cats.
• Must enjoy working with both people and pets.
• Must have the stamina to walk energetic dogs as well as ensure our pet resort looks inviting and clean.
• Must have a flexible work schedule where you can work during the week, as well as, many weekends and holiday time frames.
• Must be able to follow directions and comply with processes and procedures.
• Must have a keen sense of observation when observing the pets.

The Barkley is turning into Hogwarts for the month of January. Join us every Wednesday for a new fun event leading up to our big party on January 27th where we will have our big house sorting party!
Jan 6 – Join us for our first Hogwarts lesson: Potions 101. We will be sampling dog friendly yummy potions and making snitch themed crafts $5
Jan 13 – Have you seen this wizard? The Barkley will look a lot like Azkaban. Will your dog escape? $5
Jan 20 - Yummy Harry Potter themed pupcakes! $5
Jan 27 – The big party! Have your dog sorted into one of four houses: Griffindog, Slobberin, Hufflepup, and Ravenpaw with a keepsake photo and themed bandana $10

The pups loved their first day of Hogwarts!
We made and sampled 4 potions: Polyjuice Potion (organic banana juice with red food dye), Amortentia (organic beef broth with blue food dye), Felix Felicis (organic carrot juice), and Skele-Gro (organic chicken broth). The class favorite was Skele-Gro!
They all caught the golden snitch in Quidditch practice!
Next week we will be learning Defense Against the Dark Barks and uncovering the bad wizards. Who will be joining us? 🧙🏻♂️
