💀Did you know hollowing temples is a significant sign of aging... and can actually start in the late 20’s in some and become pretty severe in your 30’s. There’s a strong genetic component to this but thankfully can be corrected with elegantly placed filler in the temple area. It is an advanced technique and needs to be performed with safety in mind, as should all filler, by someone with vast knowledge in facial anatomy, possible complications and advanced training and experience but when done safely and correctly, it can immediately correct a cadaveric, hollow, peanut head and turn it into a more youthful, plump, natural face in just one session. It usually requires one syringe per side depending on the severity of your hollowing but can be such an amazing treatment in achieving facial rejuvenation and you giving a youthful and refreshed look!
This particular patient had pretty severe temple hollowing and had one full syringe of Restylane Lyft (1ml) on each temple and her results were incredible! She truly looked 20 years younger by just correcting her temple hollowing and skeleton-like aged face... such a beautiful treatment for a gorgeous patient!

Did you know that hyaluronic acid filler can be used to balance out facial features that may not be completely harmonious in a face? This patient was teased as a kid for her chin and is very self conscious of it. Difficult “M” shaped lips, asymmetry, unbalanced ratio between the upper and lower lip... virgin lips made this a dream though! For anyone that injects lips, they know this shape is one of the most challenging to fill and really difficult to make beautiful and she has a few other little things as well that make her lips even more challenging. We had a discussion about her wishes and expectations and just trusted me to make her lips beautiful and that it would likely take a few sessions to get her to where we want to be as far as size and shape. How much Toxin do you need? This is such a common question... and although it varies greatly from person to person, this is a general idea of how much you’ll need when it comes to your treatment with Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. So when you go in to your appointment, you have an idea of what it takes to relax certain treatment areas in general. Trust your injector who will know after assessing your face and will determine exactly how much you need!!!
Generally speaking... and I get this request a lot!!!!!! Spreading 15-20 Units of Botox all over your face is usually not an appropriate treatment for most people, unless you are 20 years old and we are starting a preventative plan! I am rather conservative and like to give natural results, but under-dosing doesn’t do anyone any good. If you are going to spend money on a treatment do it correctly... find a qualified provider... build a relationship with them... have them learn your face, your anatomy and dynamics... and build trust with that one person. Stop hopping around and shopping around! It’s hard to get consistent, beautiful results for yourself if the person treating you doesn’t get to know you! Do yourself that favor... find someone you love and let them perfect your treatment!!🤩✌️😍

💋Lip filler does not have to look fake! So many patients are scared of getting their lips done because of the disasters we see walking around. Although it seems simple, lip filler is truly an art! Don’t just go to anyone, do your homework and look at a lot of before & after pictures. Something to look for to see if someone is a really good injector is, if in the before picture, the lips were not “pretty” to begin with or were asymmetric, strange shape and the results are perfect and asymmetries corrected. It doesn’t take as much knowledge and experience to make already beautiful lips bigger and pretty... but it does take skill to correct asymmetries and make odd shaped, not so beautiful lips look natural, symmetric and gorgeous. Don’t trust your lips just to anyone and definitely don’t go to someone based on price 💰 alone! It’s your face!
Lip filler can be so beautiful and can rejuvenate the lower face so so much! Don’t be scared and trust your injector. Have them show you a lot of pictures of their work until you are satisfied! Have them show you corrections they have done as well. If they know how to correct issues properly, they are likely to know what they are doing.

✨Let your injector do the choosing when it comes to the type and brand of filler... always!!! But especially for this area, the choice of product is crucial! In this beautiful patient, the goal was to outline the border and lightly fill the body of the lip but put the focus on the “smoker’s lines” around her mouth and create harmony for the upper and lower lips while maintaining the a natural shape without bulk💉👄✨
✨Notice when she puckers how the deep lines that were present in her before (top) picture have now softened! These lines are extremely common and not always related to smoking at all! They do appear in non-smoking patients and can appear at a young age in some, even in your late 20s to early 30s in some. They result from volume loss in the area around the lips and mouth, constant creasing on the skin by sucking through a straw, puckering and yes smoking and vaping. So, if you do smoke and vape? This is yet another reason to stop!😉
✨The goal in these cases is to keep the mouth looking natural and not create bulkiness around the lips but soften the deep lines around the mouth while plumping the lips lightly and enhancing the lip border to rejuvenate the lower face. And this is where injection technique, proper filler selection and experience makes all the difference! The mouth and lips can rejuvenate the face in one session if done right!
