We are so happy to still be able to be there for all of our clients and their kitties. We appreciate everyone's patience during these times. Here is what we have been up to! VINx VetTools 23 September at 09:19 · Veterinary friends: this video we’ve created for you to share with your clients is a love letter from us to you. We’ve watched in awe and gratitude for the past 6 months as you all have given everything you’ve got - and then some - to care for your community’s pets in the face of a pandemic. We hope this video will help you share your story with your clients, so they can better understand and appreciate the unprecedented challenges you’ve faced and how they may have affected their recent experiences with your practice. Most importantly, it reinforces that while some of your approaches may have changed, your commitment to your patients hasn’t wavered. Thank you for everything you do, every single day. - Your friends at VINx 😊 www.vin.com/VINx #veterinary #veterinarian #vetmed #vettools
Happy Monday!!! Stay cool today folks, and don't annoy your cats too much...
A friendly reminder and update on our COVID-19 protocols here at The Cat Doctor. The Cat Doctor will continue to remain curbside for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, our exam rooms just do not allow for the physical distancing requirements recommended by the CDC. Also, the amount of cleaning and disinfecting in-between clients would severely limit our appointment offerings. This makes curbside our best option to maintain our ultimate goal: to keep our staff members and clients safe and healthy so we can continue to care for your cats. Our new protocols mean that our phone lines are tied up more than usual. You may experience longer than normal hold times. If you try to call us and cannot get through, please wait a few minutes and try again. We are also available by text and email for non-urgent questions and requests. In order to make sure we have availability for sick or injured pets daily we are having to spread wellness visits out. If your cat is coming due for his or her annual exam and vaccinations, please consider calling four to six weeks ahead to get on the schedule. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to navigate this truly unprecedented situation. With your assistance, we will be able to provide your cats with the care that they need. For appointments: 1. We have begun utilizing a form template prior to your exam to ease the check-in process. If you can, please take a moment to fill out and submit your form. (Be on the lookout for this form in your email) 2. Please call or text us at 207-874-2287 when you arrive for an appointment. 3. Please have your cell phone charged and available as the doctor will be calling you during your appointment. If you are leaving your cat for the day, we will collect a few numbers where we may be able to reach you. For medication refills: 1. We ask that you kindly give 48 hours notice for medication or food refills. 2. When picking up supplies, you will not be able to enter the building. Upon arrival, please call or text us to let us know you are here. We can take payment over the phone and bring your items into the entryway. Thank you again for your patience these past few months and for the months to come.
Hospital Update: We are here, we are open. We are doing our best to serve patients and clients during this time; our goal is to remain open for as long as we can. For the safety of our staff, families and clients, we ask that you please bear with us as we will be continually updating and adjusting protocols as needed First and foremost: Please stay home if you are sick. Please call to see what options are available if your cat is sick and needs care. If you need a prescription or food, please call ahead. We will take payment over the phone and have it brought to the entryway when you get here. We are no longer allowing non staff members in the building; we are keeping safe distances in clinic and practicing social distancing at home as well. We know these are trying times and we thank all of our valued clients and patients for their understanding as we all navigate this together. Please reach out if you have any questions at all - call, text or email.
This is a reminder that all appointments will be seen "curbside" - we are no longer having clients in the building. When you arrive, please call our office: 207-874-2287 We will get all pertinent information at that time. We will then instruct you to leave your cat in our entryway where we will retrieve them for the appointment **All cats must be in a carrier** Your kitty will be brought inside, where we will perform our exam and provide the treatments discussed ( vaccines etc) We will then call you back, go over details, go over medications as needed, and have you pay by phone. Once this is all set, we will bring your pet back to the vestibule. Please let us know if you are not feeling well, or if you have had a recent travel history. As always, please reach out if you have any questions! Thank you for your patience and support as we work through our new protocols!
Happy Mardi Gras! (one of our favorite photos of Luigi getting in the spirit).
