***Special considerations during the COVID-19 pandemic***
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a TOP priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. We also are aware some of these precautions may slow down the efficiency or seem to be "overkill." We recognize this and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we strive to continue to improve and make sure to care for all of our patients in the safest way possible. Please bear with us as we work towards our mutual goal.
We continue to follow infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
In order to best protect all our employees and patients during this time, our universal precautions will remain in place:
(1) All employees and patients will wear masks (you may bring your own mask from home if you prefer) as well as gloves (we will provide)
(2) All patients AND employees will be screened before entry for any and all common signs of COVID-19 and temperatures will be checked. We have a specific staff member assigned to such in order to safely and efficiency provide this screening.
(3) Social distancing will be performed and ONLY the patient will be allowed inside (there will be two exceptions: (a) a patient that is a minor will have ONE guardian and (b) those requiring a caregiver will have ONE caregiver come with them if needed). We recognize this may be sub-optimal for some patients and we appreciate all of your patience in this matter. Thank you all for understanding this.
(4) All patients can remain in their cars until they can be seen.
(5) Cleaning of our office will remain a priority to provide a safe environment for everyone.
OUR FOCUS IS YOU and your health is our #1 priority. Community health requires a group effort and we will continue to do our part for each and every one of you.
Fortunately both Angelina and Polk County (and most of the surrounding areas) did better than predicted with the hurricane. Our hearts go out to those impacted by the ongoing destruction of this hurricane.
We look forward to restarting our normal hours again tomorrow at both offices.
***CLINIC CLOSURE DUE TO HURRICANE LAURA***
Out of an abundance of caution The Center for
Sight in both Lufkin and Livingston will be closed Thursday 8-27-2020. This is to protect both patients and employees from the potential dangers of the hurricane as well as the after effects
We are watching the hurricane’s path closely to determine the best course of action regarding closures for the days following.
Ocular Emergencies please call 936-634-8434. All others please follow this page for updates as they become available.
The Center for Sight updated their business hours.
Starting Monday (5.4.2020) we will begin seeing normal/routine patients again with the expectation of resuming a higher availability on Wednesday. Our business hours will be 8-5 M-Th and 8-12 Friday.
In order to best protect all our employees and patients during this time, our universal precautions will remain in place
(1) All employees and patients will wear masks (you may bring your own mask from home if you prefer) as well as gloves (we will provide)
(2) All patients AND employees will be screened before entry for any and all common signs of COVID and temperatures will be checked
(3) social distancing will be performed and ONLY the patient will be allowed inside (there will be two exceptions: a minor will have ONE guardian and those requiring a caregiver will have ONE caregiver come with them if needed)
(4) All patients will remain in their cars until the time they can be brought back. We want to decrease any interactions between any and all people to best serve all our patients as well as the most vulnerable.
(5) cleaning of all parts of the office above and beyond the standard of care to provide a safe environment for everyone.
OUR FOCUS IS YOU and your health is our #1 priority. Community health requires a group effort and we will continue to do our part for each and every one of you.
We missed you!!! Welcome back!
We wanna hear your thoughts! Let's hear what you got!
