Our October feature is this Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. This California wine works perfectly with well-seasoned meats like beef, pork, or lamb, and indulgent chocolate desserts. As our monthly feature, we are allowed to price it below state minimum, and is now $13.49. Remember to like our page for more features and wine pairing ideas!
And now for one of the most versatile wines...Chardonnay. If you are wondering what foods it pairs well with, it all depends on the climate its from and its age. Soo...
For lighter foods and seafoods, like grilled fish or shrimp cocktail, aim for a newer Chardonnay from a cooler climate.
Chardonnay from a slightly warmer climate, like France or New Zealand, work well with slightly richer foods, creamier or buttery sauces, or acidic fruits.
Then, if you prefer richer foods, so for a slightly aged Chardonnay, up to about 8 years. This is your heavier creams and richer foods.
We suggest avoiding pairing Chardonnay with tomato sauce, Chinese food and Thai flavors.
As one of the most versatile wines, try a wide selection to see what works for you. And follow us for more pairing and wine questions!

WINE PAIRING: It's one of our most popular wine and requests, but what food do you pair it with? This Sauvignon Blanc is traditionally a dry wine but with a slightly richer flavor being from New Zealand. So we like pairing it with creamy textures and spicy flavors; think seafood and food with Asian/Thai influences.
Additionally, look for foods with unique herbal flavors, like mint, cilantro, rosemary or even some basil. When you are thinking this Sauvignon Blanc, think unique and spicy flavors, especially seafood and salads, to bring the most out of the wine.

We are loving this cocktail for Halloween!
How to make a Pumpkin Spice White Russian:
For the rim, mix pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and crushed graham crackers on a plate. Dip the rim of your glasses in water and then into the graham cracker mix to coat.
For the drink, add vodka, pumpkin spice creamer, and coffee liqueur into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake to combine.
Pour the Pumpkin White Russian Cocktail into rimmed glasses, and top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice to serve!
This recipe serves 2, and only takes a few minutes to prepare. This creamy pumpkin drink makes the perfect fall cocktail!
Come in, grab your spirits, and follow us for more ideas and recipes!
