PBT Artistic Director Susan Jaffe has made a new policy at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre that all dancers have the choice to wear the tights and shoes of their preference and that match their skin tones, for rehearsals and performances. As brands like Freed of London diversify the colors of their pointe shoes to be more inclusive to the dance community, we are thrilled for dancers of color to be able to be more represented in the art form.
