Pep-Up Tea with its clear, zingy taste, gives a surprising boost of energy without caffeine and is both rejuvenating and immune-boosting.
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp. fresh root ginger, finely grated (unpeeled if organic) 1⁄2 tsp ground turmeric
1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
A tiny pinch of cayenne pepper (more if you like)
Juice of 1⁄2 lemon
A squeeze of raw honey (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Boil the kettle and put the grated ginger, turmeric and cayenne pepper in a teapot.
Fill with 600ml of hot water (not boiling), stir and leave to brew for 10 minutes.
Strain if you like. Pour into mugs and leave the tea to cool to room temperature before adding the lemon juice and raw honey, if using.

During fall and winter, dry air, low levels of exposure to sunlight’s ultraviolet rays, lack of humidity in the air and dry heat in most buildings may cause psoriasis symptoms to worsen.

What Does Psoriasis Look Like?
1. Plaque Psoriasis: The American Academy of Dermatology estimates that 80 to 90 percent of people with psoriasis develop this type, making it the most common form.
2. Guttate Psoriasis: Common in children and young adults, guttate psoriasis causes small pink spots and generally shows up on the torso, arms and legs.
3. Inverse Psoriasis: Inverse psoriasis is characterized by bright, inflamed areas with red, shiny and smooth skin.
4. Pustular Psoriasis: Commonly found in adults, pustular psoriasis causes white, pus-filled blisters and broad areas of red and inflamed skin.
5. Erythrodermic Psoriasis: This is an extremely rare and severe form of psoriasis, often covering large areas of the body at once. The skin looks similar in appearance to a sunburn.
