To our Dear Patients, Friends & Family,
As a team since 2002, Dr. Koeltl and Dr. Hong have been deeply fortunate to practice dentistry in this wonderful community. It is with mixed emotion and sadness that we write this letter today, as both of our families have made the decision to relocate out of the Bay Area. After 18+ years in Danville, Dr. Koeltl and his family are building a house a stone’s throw from Dr. Hong in Idaho, where they can continue their great friendship for years to come. Dr. Koeltl will continue to practice dentistry and further focus on his passion of helping people breathe and sleep better. After 34+ years of practicing in the Danville area, Dr. Hong has decided to finally hang up his drill and enjoy the luxuries of retirement. Dr. Hong and his wife are looking forward to enjoying the slower pace, beautiful hiking trails, and pristine trout streams.
As you know, we are dedicated to providing all of our patients with the highest possible level of care. After months of searching for the right person, we are delighted to announce that we have found two dentists who share our enthusiasm and practice philosophy. Drs. Kamile Lim and Nashwa Aziz-Elrashidy will be taking over the practice effective October 30th, 2020. We have worked with the doctors extensively reviewing patient files to ensure a smooth transition for our patients and staff.
Dr. Lim has called California her home for most of her life. She attended University of the Pacific and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology. Shortly thereafter, she graduated from University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2014. After graduation Dr. Lim and her husband moved to San Ramon. They have been so grateful to be building a family in such an amazing community. When she isn’t working, Dr. Lim is traveling, trying new restaurants, or simply enjoying family time with their boys and their boxer, Freya.
Dr. Aziz-Elrashidy was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science. She graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2010 and went on to complete a one-year general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Excited to escape cold winters, Dr. Aziz-Elrashidy and her husband moved to San Ramon in 2014 and have loved the Bay Area ever since. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, and their havapoo Lupe. She also loves trying the latest exercise trend, cooking and rooting for her Michigan State Spartans.
We feel extremely fortunate to have Drs. Lim and Aziz-Elrashidy joining the practice. Not only are they very talented dentists, but they are great people and are thrilled to serve the community. The staff that we all know and love will be remaining in place and they will be able to offer all the same services to you. The doctors are very excited to get to know you and your family and hope to build a lasting, trusting relationship with you. We both want to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude for bestowing upon us the honor and privilege to treat your dental needs over these combined 50+ years. We do consider many of you as dear friends. We wish you all sincerest blessings and we will miss you dearly. Wish us luck!!!

In light of the recent stay at home orders we wanted to reach out and let you know, we are here for you. As an essential service, our office will remain OPEN. While many
things have changed over this past year, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to exceptional dentistry and your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority. Our processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Please rest assure that we are taking the following precautions:
* Covid Pre-Screening 24 hrs prior to appointment.
* We will ask that you call or text us at 925-837-1742 when you arrive. We will only see one patient or family at a time in our reception area.
* We may ask that you wait in the car prior to your appointment.
* We have installed protective barriers and HEPA air purifiers.
* We will ask you to use hand sanitizer when you enter the office, after the screening is conducted. You will also find hand sanitizer stations throughout the office.
* We will take and record your temperature upon arrival.
* You will be asked to wash your hands once you enter the operatory.
* Masks must always be worn by all persons for the entire visit. We will have you remove your mask for your procedure only.
* Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. You may be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment to ensure everyone’s safety. We appreciate your understanding.
* We will be disinfecting common areas and frequently touched surfaces on an hourly basis.
Oral health can have significant effects on your overall health, so we encourage you to keep your appointment.
