About

Life is full of surprises. When those surprises include mysterious chest pain, a splitting headache, lingering abdominal pain, or another ailment that requires immediate care, The Emergency Center is here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Each freestanding emergency room features the same capabilities as a traditional ER that is attached to a hospital, but our patients avoid the hectic atmosphere and often lengthy wait times that are typical of large medical centers and immediate care clinics. We specialize in providing individualized, prompt care with the aim of returning our patients to the activities they enjoy as quickly, safely, and conveniently as possible. So, enjoy life – we’ll be there for the bumps along the way.

Every patient at The Emergency Center is tended to by a board-certified physician who collaborates with a team of ICU- and ER-trained nurses. At each freestanding emergency room, our physicians treat a broad spectrum of emergency and non-emergency conditions – from strep throat and stomach pain to pneumonia and cardiac arrest. We have the expertise and equipment necessary to provide important medical services like critical care monitoring and stabilization, cardiac evaluation, procedural sedation, and more for patients of all ages who require urgent care.

Beyond the scope of our services, another factor that sets us apart from standard quick care clinics is our commitment to utilizing advanced technologies in everyday practice. For example, to streamline the diagnostic process, our facilities feature high-resolution, 64-slice CT scanners that can detect irregularities many other scanners cannot. We often use this technology to determine cardiac calcium scores, which can spare patients with chest pain from unnecessary (and costly) hospital admissions.

Reminder, it's important to take chest pain seriously, as it could indicate something severe like a heart attack. TEC offers cardiac evaluations, monitoring services, and can perform an EKG to measure the electrical activity of the heartbeat. If you experience any dull, sharp, burning, aching, or crushing chest pain, it's vital to seek emergency care. It could save your life ❗
Sometimes patients need a little extra monitoring and care and that’s why we have protocols for 23-Hour observations. This allows physicians to monitor the patient’s symptoms for up to 23 hours to determine if they need to be admitted into a hospital. Warning signs that may indicate an emergency and need for observation are: ➡Chest Pain ➡Severe Back Pain ➡Dehydration ➡Asthma ➡Allergic Reactions ➡Shortness of Breath ➡Severe Abdominal Pain Observation patients will receive hours of medical attention allowing the physicians to make a more accurate diagnosis. This also saves the patient critical time by bypassing the busy hospital waiting rooms if admitted.
