Little things that make me want to work harder and harder for people.
How do we apprise our projects?
Most customers think that the flooring companies base their prices on the square footage of the job. It’s not true. Sometimes the service price is based on the square footage, but more of the time it’s not.
But why our customers think this way? Probably because the materials are sold by square footage, by the amount of the materials. However, when it comes to the SERVICE part, everything is changing. There are many different details that have influence on the service price. For instance, set-up time or traffic... What I wanted to say by this post, is that flooring companies don’t base their prices on the square footage. It’s only one of many other estimating approaches. So don’t expect that the 50sq.ft. job would cost you $50~$100, and don’t stress out when after you divide the total price of your project by the square footage, you come up with a huge number. There’s always a reason for that. Ask your contractor why? Let him explain that to you. Don’t disappear from him with intention to find someone “not so crazy expensive”.
Because most of the time you will find someone cheaper, but who would make your life a disaster.
Over 100 years old floor restoration.
Most of the time, hardwood floor Repaire means the complete refinishing of the entire floor in the house. Even if all that has to be fixed is just a small bathroom floor. Not many flooring specialists have a solution for that. We Do!
