Meet Ramonita. Ramonita was born in a little town in Puerto Rico where she developed a passion for cooking, music, dancing, and traveling. Luckily, she met Gabe at the age of 18 in Puerto Rico and moved to the states together. Ramonita & Gabe have been married for 67 years and have made it to a point to see the world by traveling as well as helping the Hispanic community in the Greenville area. @The Gardens at Eastside are happy and honored to get to know this couple who have so many stories to tell.

Amy came from a large family of five children in Salisbury, NC, where she developed an unparalleled work ethic at a young age. Amy obtained her first job at just fifteen years old at a local candy store, then quickly leapfrogged into JC Penny's retail for twenty-five years with her mother. In her later years, Amy stayed quite active. When she wasn't mowing the grass at the age of 82, she frequently volunteered at the local disabled veteran's hospital, where she cooked homemade meals for the disabled WWII veterans who resided there. The Gardens at Eastside are happy to foster a relationship with Amy and spread such an amazing story!

@The Gardens at Eastside residents were able to take a joyride to @Bruster's Ice Cream Parlor after a whole year! A year without their ice cream can feel like a lifetime and we were glad to stop in for a sweet treat. Can't wait for the next trip!
The Gardens at Eastside hosted a vaccine clinic to allow residents and caregivers the opportunity to receive their first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. We are so proud of our partners and staff for running the clinic smoothly as well as grateful to be able provide further comfort for our residents during this trying time. #ArborStrong is more than just a hashtag. All of our communities are happy to announce that they have successfully held vaccine clinics to allow for residents and staff to take a major step in ending the COVID-19 pandemic. 2020 was a year with a lot of challenges, but the challenges have made the Arbor family that much closer together. We couldn't be more proud of our staff and partners that could host these clinics to provide safety for our residents.
