My wife @cameronbpotter and I brought our first child Finn David Oliver Potter into the world last night, I gotta say after 55 hours of labor and then c-section she is the #hero of our family. I love both of these people beyond belief and can’t wait to see what kind of future we build together!!

1. Our first official PUMPKIN PATCH was last week, but we kinda got washed out. The forecast for tomorrow looks gorgeous, so come on out, bring the fam, and indulge in all things fall: pumpkin painting, face painting, bratwursts and pretzel bread, and delicious local cider!

2. We are happy to announce we are reopening for LUNCH on THURSDAYS beginning this week, Oct 8. So you can take a mid-day break from the home office (or office office) and come get your goop on!

Who doesn’t love BROCCOLI & CHEESE? New to the GYH Fall menu, our roasted broccoli is tossed in a red miso cheddar sauce, and loaded with chili oil (a byproduct of making our chili crisp), crispy garlic and crispy shallots. So tasty...
Dinner plans? How about a local HRF bratwurst braised in house-fav Pabst Blue Ribbon with Lusty Monk Mustard, Kewpie Mayonnaise, pickled Small City Farm pepper relish, and onion? Served in a Your Mom’s Donuts brioche roll of course, dusted with furikake, for that GYH Chef’s kiss....

GYH FAM!!!! We're very happy to be participating in the first NoDa CANDY CRAWL on Tuesday Oct. 27 with a bunch of our neighborhood favorites! Every participating biz will have treats for young and old, and all in a COVID-safe setting. Can't wait to see you all then!
Ingredients matter, which is why we're proud to partner with FARMERS & FRIENDS that live right here or just down the road. The guys at @verdant_bread make some of the best bread in town, which we happily use for our Green Monster Sammie and as the base for our NC Trout.
FALL FESTIVITIES: tonight in addition to food and drink specials, our totes adorbs pumpkin patch, and fun for the kiddos, we're also hosting Zach Fowler for a rare TUESDAY EVENING of live music from 6-8. Come out, grab a mulled cider or a brat, paint a pumpkin, and hang.

One of our farmers and friends at Fair Share Farm dropped this nugget of wisdom as he delivered last week, and it really resonated with us. Even in the midst of trying times, we know the rains will come. It may not be when we want it, and it may not be in the form we would always like, but we know one day the heavens will open, replenishing our fields for the good years to come. Feb 4 marks one year since we first opened our doors to you, GYH Fam, and what a year it’s been. Plenty of highs, a few lows (I mean, it WAS 2020), lots of laughs, tears, smiles, fist bumps, and goopy burgers...and we’re thankful for all of it. Thank you SO MUCH for allowing us to be a part of your life, wether you’ve dined with us, grabbed a drink at the Handyman, snagged an Igloo reservation, or just follow along in our digital lives.
