National Gymnastics Day is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you this Saturday, September 19! Given the constraints created by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we’re moving this year’s festivities completely online. You can join in by posting on social media using the hashtag #NGD2020 . So, show off your skills by sharing photos or videos of your favorite or newest skill, striking a pose, or simply telling us why they love gymnastics. Or -- look into your archives and share your best moment.

Our Fit by Five Preschoolers and Pre-K students did their first art project of 2020-2021 -- Blast Off To School! Our morning groups took longer to dry, so we got a picture. Our two afternoon groups were supersonic and took off before the camera came out!
They used their fine motor skills and, for some, learned how to hold and use their scissors to cut out the 1 space ship and it's 1, 2, 3 windows, used their glue to attach their 1, 2 eyes, 1, 2, 2 windows and 1 space ship bottom, and used their favorite crayon color to draw a smile on their alien.
Then they also learned how to properly wash off the green paint when we added soap and watched how you have to take 20 second to wash each finger all the way to their tips, the sides and tops and bottom of each hand and rinse everything off carefully to make sure that no germs can be left! Wow what you can learn during an art project!

What a GREAT first day of the School Year program. We are so excited to see friends back again, old and new! Please know that a few of our classes have reached maximum capacity. You are able to indicate your interest by enrolling on the Wait List and then if we are able, we will work on opening second sections for our classes. We can't make any guarantees but will do our best. Feel free to enroll in a class that DOES have availability and then you can transfer to your original choice when it becomes available. We appreciate everyone's understanding of trying to keep our numbers workable with social distancing needs at the moment. Everyone did a GREAT job on their first day back! Remember: ALL registrations are online by selecting the blue Parent Login button on our main website, gtc-rochester.com -- Can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings!
