Meet the Team Monday! Today we would like to introduce you to Attorney, Erika Carter!
Check out Erika's beautiful family portrait taken at Chatfield State Park and her adorable pup!
Why did you become an attorney?
I became an attorney to help people. I have always loved working with people and helping people find solutions to tough problems. I also became an attorney because I wanted a career in which I learn something new every day.
What empowers/ inspires you the most to help people during this challenging time of their life?
I started my career representing indigent people in dependency and neglect cases. I have seen so many people overcome incredible obstacles. Nothing is more inspiring than witnessing an individual overcome addiction, domestic violence, and incarceration for his or her family.
What do you like to do outdoors in the winter/ summer?
During the summer, you can find me biking around Denver and checking out new breweries or restaurants with my husband. If we aren’t in Denver, we are in the mountains either biking or skiing.
What do you like to do in your free time?
If I’m not biking around Denver or in the mountains, I am most likely curled up with my dog reading a book. My husband and I also love to travel.
What is an interesting fact about you?
In the past four years I have run two marathons and completed the Triple Bypass, biking from Evergreen to Beaver Creek.
