Dr. Katie Thompson has been practicing as a doctor of chiropractic since 1991 and founded The Health Improvement Center in Vienna, Virginia, in 1997.
After a severe horseback riding injury when she was 10 that left her unable to ride, Dr. Katie saw a chiropractor for pain relief. This experience paved her career path, and she sees it as a way to give back.
Born and raised in The Plains, Virginia, Dr. Katie attended East Carolina University and graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Katie has her master certification in Nutrition Response Testing® and is certified in BioSET™ allergy elimination, craniosacral therapy, and the Impulse® Adjusting Technique. Additionally, she has a 100-hour certification in Applied Kinesiology.
Dr. Katie can help restore your health naturally through programs that meet your needs. She does this by discovering the causes of your health issues and providing effective, non-invasive, and affordable solutions.
Dr. Katie spends time listening to her clients and offering gentle procedures that cause minimal discomfort, and her nutritional program identifies the organs and glands that are impacting your health.
Along with her cat, Koko, and four retired racing greyhounds Ivory, Ripley, Ziggi Stardust, and Norm, Dr. Katie lives in Manassas, Virginia, and serves on the board of Blue Ridge Greyhound Adoption. She gets satisfaction from introducing people to these amazing 40-miles-per-hour couch potatoes.
