Are you or your loved ones experiencing hearing loss? It might be time to try one of the most discreet and comfortable hearing aids available: the popular receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid. This small hearing aid sits behind the ear in a small, lightweight plastic case similar to Behind-the-Ear hearing aids. The speaker (receiver) part of the hearing aid rests inside the ear canal. The speaker connects to the hearing device that sits behind the ear with a small plastic tube. In some cases, they may also be used to help manage ringing in the ears (tinnitus). To talk to a specialist about getting RIC hearing aids, contact your local branch today! https://thehearingplaceco.com/

Thank you to our partners at Old Town Media - OTM for helping us show our passion at The Hearing Place. Kerrie Luginbill November 20 at 5:40 PM · Today was an amazing day. My team at Old Town Media - OTM captured the process and result of my grandparents (in their mid to late 80s) getting hearing aids and ultimately recovering their hearing after decades of impairment. Brittany Mathisen and her company The Hearing Place quite literally provided a new life for my grandparents through her professional audiology expertise, supportive nature and a set of ReSound hearing aids for each of them. I was happy to serve as the narration of this experience in the video to follow - so stay tuned! And if you or a loved one is experiencing hearing loss, do not wait. The Hearing Place offers a low-touch and no-touch option for taking a hearing test and your loved ones don’t even have to leave their home to get their new aids. Better hearing means a better, more connected life ❤️ Thank you Brittany and The Hearing Place.

Many of my patients ask me why and how I got interested in audiology. Every time my response is my experience in fifth grade at Mountain View Elementary in Broomfield. This is where I learned sign language and made friendships with deaf and hard of hearing peers. I will never forget the days of being taught lessons in both spoken language and ASL. This experience helped shape my interest in helping people with hearing loss. This is a wonderful story to share about a student at Mountain View Elementary that helped change how hearing devices are covered for children. -Dr. Brittany Mathisen 9NEWS.COM 9-year-old Broomfield girl inspires legislation for people with hearing loss Kathy Pritzl shared a link to the group: Colorado Academy of Audiology.
