May we never forget.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. Our office will be closed Monday 9/7/2020 for Labor Day, we will resume normal hours on Tuesday 9/8/2020 at 10 am.
Cool collaboration with Zahntechnique dental lab and a great periodontist Dr Diego Camacho to help rehab one of my patient’s smile! We replaced the upper teeth with implants, and the result was great! Ever wondered what your smile could look like, schedule a consultation!
COVID-19 OFFICE CHANGES We hope you and your families are staying safe and healthy! We would like to announce that we are reopening our practice May 11,2020. We have implemented many changes to our practice based on the recommendations from the ADA, CDC and OSHA. Some of the changes are listed below: • Patients will fill out a short survey regarding any recent travel, any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms and have their temperatures taken prior to entering the office. If any symptoms, patients will not be treated and sent home and advised to contact their physician. • Staff will have their temperature taken and fill out a survey and log findings regarding flu-like symptoms daily. • Appointment times will be extended and the number of patients seen in the office per day will be decreased to allow for adequate social distancing and enough time for us to properly clean the office between patients, late appointments will not be seen as we need the extra time to properly disinfect between patients. • All patients AND staff entering the office will wear a mask/face covering until dental work has started, we can provide a mask to those who do not have one. • Patients will call/text us when they arrive and remain in their car until the staff is ready to bring the patient back and accompanying rides are asked to wait in the lobby or in their cars. • Sneeze guards in place at the check-in and check-out area. • The use of a high volume suction will be used on all procedures that produce aerosols and we will attempt to reduce the number or procedures producing aerosols. • Air purifiers with HEPA filters at the front desk and in each treatment room as well as our air conditioning system will be filtered with MERV 13 HEPA filtration to circulate clean air throughout the office. • Use of humidifiers with essential oil will also be used in office to try to bind with aerosolized particles to weigh them down with water molecules to take aerosols out of the air. • In addition, the air and surfaces in each operatory are sterilized by UV light proven to kill coronavirus after any procedure that might produce aerosol. We also have a UV wand that will sterilize most items in five to ten seconds. • All patients pre-rinse with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide to locally reduce viral and bacterial colonies in the mouth. • Staff will be wearing extra personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect both you and us as well as enhanced barriers on equipment. We look forward to seeing everyone back and healthy, Dr. Timothy House and staff
We look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as it is safe for not only but also our staff. Dental hygienist have the number 1 riskiest job outside of hospitals for catching COVID-19 and dentists and dental assistants fall in the top 10 (see attached article). Stay safe and we are here for any emergencies but we want to stay healthy so please only schedule for true dental emergencies for everyone’s safety. DOCTIBLE.COM Review From J. J. (Verified Patient)
Halloween decorating at the office, since Halloween isn’t happening this year, here is the ghastly tale of Robyn (our office decoration): Robyn was the tallest, most beautiful drag queen to ever stumble down The Drive...she lived a fabulous, messy life that all other drag queens gagged to have. Robyn’s downfall was that she was an anti-masker and shared her cherry chapstick with everyone she met. Poor Robyn caught covid-20 (she always claimed she was ahead of her time and she even created her own new strain of covid...always the innovator) and passed away. She now haunts the streets (and especially the corners) she used to walk while she warns people to wear a mask and stay 6 feet away! As her final indignity, a rival drag queen snatched her wig...don’t become Robyn, she should have worn a wig under a wig...oh and probably a mask. Rest In Peace Robyn Caskets! (Schedule an appointment so I won’t be bored posting messages like this, and at our office we wear a mask under our masks to be safe!)
Dr House graduated from The University or Florida and is a proud Gator...what school are you guys rooting for?
Happy Veteran’s Day to all who have served, we thank you!
It’s starting to look like fall! We did a little decorating between patients to make sure we weren’t watching election drama!
Ever wonder what dentists give out on Halloween? About 76% give out candy (I am one of them so don’t judge). One day of candy won’t ruin your teeth, make sure to brush and floss after having it and you won’t have to worry! Have a great Halloween!
We are starting a new video series called Dr House Tries things, here is our first review with LISTERINE Ready! Tabs. It is good for any of our cavity prone patients and also for anyone looking for fresh breath on the go! Don’t worry we aren’t paid by LISTERINE (but if you know someone, hook a dentist up!), this is just for fun and to help you guys learn more about dental products!
