The holiday parenting time goes from 6:00 pm Friday (9/04) until 7:00 pm Monday (9/07). As always, this applies to parents who have been ordered to follow the guidelines and might not apply to everyone.

With this weekend being the Fourth of July, we'd like to remind everyone that the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines give the custodial parent the holiday this year. The holiday parenting time goes from 6:00 pm July 3rd until 10:00 am on July 5th. As always, this applies to parents who have been ordered to follow the guidelines and might not apply to everyone.
Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
With fall break coming up, we'd like to remind everyone that the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines give the custodial parent the break this year. This parenting time goes from two hours after the child is released from school on the last day before fall break until 7:00 pm on the last day of break before the child returns to school. However, if the child is on a balanced or year-round calendar, then the break is split evenly, with the custodial parent taking the first half of the break. As always, this applies to parents who have been ordered to follow the guidelines and might not apply to everyone.
Melissa was voted Best Attorney in the Indystar's Best Things for 2020. To our clients, our hard-working staff, and to everyone who voted- thank you for the support!
This year the custodial parent has holiday parenting time on Halloween. Per the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines, "On Halloween evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. or at such time as coincides with the scheduled time for trick or treating in the community where the non-custodial parent resides." As always, this applies only to those ordered to follow the guidelines and so might not be applicable to everyone.
Melissa was voted "Best Attorney" for 2020. The list is now online, so please take a minute to check out the other winners.

Here is a summary of the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines for Christmas break. As always, these apply to parents ordered to follow the guidelines and might not apply to everyone. You can find the full guidelines on the Indiana Judiciary website.
Christmas vacation begins two hours after the child is released from school on the last day and ends at 6:00 p.m. on the day before school begins again.
Each party will receive one half of the total days of the Christmas vacation.
This year, the custodial parent shall have the first half of the Christmas vacation and non-custodial parent shall have the second half of the Christmas vacation.
In those years when Christmas does not fall in a parent’s week, that parent shall have the child from Noon to 9:00 P.M. on Christmas Day.
New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day shall not be considered separate holidays under the Parenting Time Guidelines.
We're going to be closing the office around 1:00 today so everyone can get home before the heavy snow starts. We're going to work remotely as best we can, so please email if you need to reach us.
We have a couple of big announcements- Melissa was named Super Lawyer for 2021 and Zach was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2021! Congratulations to both of them!
