Maybe not. I ran into a landlord last week who had just finished a case against his tenant. He complained that he wasted money on his attorney, who “did not do anything for him”. I asked the name of the person he wanted to evict. I had never met the tenant, but I was familiar with his name. Why? I saw a cartoon today showing the massive amounts of debt that our millennials and beyond will be facing. I have met with a lot of young adults and discussed debt with them. I fear they were not taught the values of thrift, deferred gratification, and other lessons my parent taught me.
