Children of Port-au-Prince, Inc. /d/b/a/ The Louis House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that drives change for children through research, education, and influencing public policy. Founded in 2014 and based in Washington DC and Port-au-Prince Haiti, the organization focuses on the well-being of children and educates legislators on the importance of key children’s issues. While focusing on a variety of issues, the primary issues are human trafficking, food insecurity, education, juvenile justice, parenting, and Haiti children.
The mission is to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration, and advocacy. The organization strives to make children’s needs a priority and to ensure ample resources are available for children and their families to thrive.
Who We Are:
Since 2014, the Louis Foundation d/b/a/ Children of Port-au-Prince Haiti, Inc. has been a trusted bridge for individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations to experience the joy of making a significant and lasting improvement in the lives of thousands of Haitian children.
Our mission is to demonstrate Christian compassion to poverty-bound Haitian children and their families, providing opportunities for these children to become leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.
We follow a sustainable approach in this work – having established an in-country network of trusted local Christian educators, business leaders, and other professionals who carry out the day-to-day operations.
