We took Lucy the Therapy Dog for a visit at Grande Pointe Healthcare in Richmond Heights. The residents were inside the window and we connected with them by phone. The residents learned all about Lucy's background and training, and what it takes to become a therapy dog. The staff inside gave us each of the resident's names, so we were able to give Lucy Milk Bone biscuits from each one of them, while they listened by phone. The staff said it was such a treat, they haven't been able to have visitors since April. <3
Many thanks to Homewatch CareGivers for sponsoring our Container Gardening class at the Solon Senior Center. This was our first class back at the center since the COVID shut-down and we were so happy to be back with the wonderful seniors there! We were able to take advantage of some beautiful late-summer bloomers in the container we made for the senior center. The seniors learned lots of good gardening tips too!

We made some fun fall desserts at the Solon Senior Center yesterday. The senior center staff dropped off baking kits to the seniors at home, and the seniors followed along with me by video. It was a fun and safe way to celebrate the season! <3

FAMILY CAREGIVERS: Nurse researchers at Case Western Reserve University developed a 15- to 20-minute survey about family caregiving during the COVID-19 pandemic.
